We live in an era where both digitisation and digitalisation are at their peak. So much so that India has already recorded about 71 billion digital transactions to date, recording a CAGR 45.7% CAGR growth. Furthermore, UPI, credit/debit cards, wallets, and Buy Now, Pay Later, have become the go-to payment options today.
Amidst such rising use of digital modes of payments by the masses, eCommerce brands are under immense pressure to offer these diverse payment options on their websites to mitigate conversion loss. And to facilitate that, they also need to apply for necessary compliances and certifications to ensure safe and secure online transactions.
Such a hassle!
But no more!
Introducing GoKwik’s RTO-based Payment Stack. A unique payment solution that extends beyond cash and credit cards, and enables businesses to collect payments from customers via a payment mode of their choice. Being RTO-backed, the payment stack analyses a customer’s payment history and shows those payment options that they’re most likely to consider to make a purchase. This results in nearly 5% to 6% higher prepaid conversions than competitors
In this blog, we’ll elaborate on the benefits of using GoKwik’s RTO-based Payment Stack, how it works, and how it’s different from conventional payment stacks currently available on the Indian market.

What Is GoKwik’s RTO-based Payment Stack?

Gokwik’s RTO-based Payment Stack is industry’s first payment suite backed by RTO data enabling brands to curb the risk of return-to-origin losses while keeping the customer experience intact. The suite also allowed businesses to implement,
  • COD prompt
  • COD fee, and
  • COD blocking
Each of these interventions ensured that every transaction processed yielded maximum benefits to both the brand and the customers.
Unlike conventional payment gateways, GoKwik offers the latest and trending payment options through multiple gateways and direct partnerships so that customers pay via an option of their choice, always. Popular payment modes include,
  • UPI (PhonePe, Google Pay, BHIM, Paytm, etc.)
  • Digital Wallets (Amazon Pay, Free Charge, Airtel Money, Jio Money, etc.)
  • Credit/Debit Cards (VISA, MasterCard, American Express, Diner’s Club, etc.)
  • Buy Now, Pay Later (Lazy Pay, etc.)
  • Net Banking
  • QR Scan
GoKwik’s RTO-based Payment Stack also processes transactions 50% faster than most competitors on the market.
GoKwik continues to add more payment modes to its Payment Stack to keep up with the changing Indian payment landscape and enable businesses to enjoy the edge.

Benefits Of GoKwik’s RTO-based Payment Stack

GoKwik’s RTO-based Payment Stack offers a whole bunch of additional benefits besides a wide variety of digital payment options and RTO-backed interventions to help businesses bag those otherwise leaking conversions.
Listed below are some advantages of using GoKwik’s RTO-based Payment Stack.

Fast And Secure Transactions

GoKwik understands that a seamless checkout experience is a must from a shopper’s point-of-view. Keeping that in mind, GoKwik has built an architecture that allows a shopper to complete their checkout and payment process in just 3 steps. It also ensures cent per cent transaction security, thus, offering peace of mind to the shoppers.

RTO Interventions

While digital payments is gaining much popularity in Indian, ~60% of online buyers are still placing cash-on-delivery (COD) orders. These COD orders, in a majority of cases also result in RTO (customers cancelling orders after shipment has left the warehouse or rejecting the delivery at the doorstep. GoKwik’s RTO intervention via COD fee implementation, COD blocking in the case of high-risk users with low buying intent, and COD prompts helps reduce the risk of RTOs and increase prepaid conversions.

Faster Settlement Cycle

Settlements refer to the amount collected by a payment service provider (in this case, GoKwik) on behalf of a business using its services and depositing this collected amount to the business’s bank account after a certain period.
Faster settlements are critical in today’s day, and age as this amount acts as a catalyst for companies to pay their bills, restock inventory, plan brand activities, and so on.
Unlike a traditional settlement cycle, GoKwik settles funds the fastest in the industry and ensures that businesses always have enough working capital at hand.

Minimum Operational Charges

Rather than levying different charges across different stages, GoKiwk levies a minimal fee for the entire conversion improvement cycle, majorly in the form of transaction charges. Meanwhile, GoKwik doesn’t impose any chargeback fee as well.
No matter if it’s a large business or one that’s starting its operations in the market, GoKwik helps businesses embed a seamless payment stack on their website at a minimal cost and increase conversion.

Extensible Checkout Architecture

GoKwik’s extensible checkout architecture scales with a business and allows it to give its shoppers more ways to pay while significantly growing the business’s revenue streams.

Improved Customer Experience

Since GoKwik enables brands to offer customers with digital payment modes of their choice, this automatically improves a customer’s overall experience. And statistics are a testament to this fact. Offering more payment options not only eliminates a customer’s hesitation but increases the chances of conversion.

Security Compliances

GoKwik understands the importance of payment regulations and compliances from a customer safety point-of-view. Hence, GoKwik has invested heavily in building an industry-standard architecture that ensures utmost customer information safety and security. GoKwik is also PCI DSS compliant and assures that customer data remains intact throughout the entire checkout and payment stage.

Accept Payments Via Multiple Gateways

GoKwik understands that every transaction counts. Hence, GoKwik has partnered with multiple payment gateways to ensure that no transaction bounces back causing a business any potential revenue loss.
If one payment gateway fails due to any reason, be it downtime or some backend issue, GoKwik reroutes the transaction to another payment gateway to ensure it gets processed end-to-end.

How does GoKwik’s RTO-based Payment Stack Work?

Similar to any payment gateway, GoKwik too has built a seamless and fast payment process. Here’s how it works.

  • A customer adds items to their cart and proceeds to the payment window.
  • After selecting the payment method of their choice from GoKwik’s Payment Stack, say a debit card, they enter their details and click on pay.
  • GoKwik sends a notification to partner Payment Gateway to process the payment request.
  • The partner Payment Gateway encrypts card details and asks the Card Network (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Diner’s Club, etc.) to authenticate the payment.
  • The card network runs a fraud check based on the furnished card details.
  • Post verification, Card Network asks the Issuing Bank (the customer’s bank) to authorise the payment.
  • The Issuing Bank runs an identity check and ensures the fund availability in the customer’s account. Once done, it then approves the payment request.
  • If sufficient funds are available in the customer’s account, the Card Network transfers the funds to the partner Payment Gateway, which further transfers money into GoKwik’s account.
  • GoKwik then informs the merchant and the customer about successful payment.
  • As a part of the settlement cycle, GoKwik transfers the collected funds into the merchant’s account (Acquiring Bank) after T+1 days.
Owing to GoKwik’s advanced payment infrastructure, we ensure that the entire process is completed in about two to three seconds.

The GoKwik Advantage

By using GoKwik’s RTO-based Payment Stack, you not only get the advantage of a safe and secure payment partner by your side but ensures low RTO rate. Additionally, the plug and play tool can be embedded on all types of websites and supported by most commerce platforms. GoKwik also charges the lowest transaction fees on the market and offers 24×7 customer service so that you never run into trouble and suffer any consequences.
