In less than half a decade, Ruhe India has successfully carved a niche for itself in the kitchen and bathroom fittings sector, positioning itself as a leading eCommerce player in the Indian eCommerce landscape. Through a blend of creating premium quality products to creating engaging videos to increase awareness and adoption, Ruhe India has not only become a household name today but achieved a remarkable turnover, marking a noteworthy milestone in its journey.

The Problem Statement

Positioning itself as a direct-to-consumer (D2C) brand and working immensely in that direction, Ruhe India has cracked many essential codes of success. From ensuring high conversion rate to good customer retention, the brand has essentially seen an upward tick in its success graph.

However, despite positive business impact, the brand was witnessing high drop off across many stages of its conversion funnel. While running a test check, the execs at Ruhe realised that the brand was not clocking as many conversions as it must considering the incoming website traffic and customer response. From login to address page and even during payments, their drop off percentage was quite high.

The team at Ruhe India thus began looking for effective solutions to reduce website drop offs, increase conversions, and generate high GMV to match business potential. That’s when they came to know about GoKwik and its solutions

The GoKwik Solution

During discussions with Ruhe India, GoKwik realised that the bath and kitchen accessories brand required some strategic solutions to minimise drop-offs and achieve many defined business objectives.

To solve the brand’s pressing concerns, here’s what GoKwik proposed and implemented on Ruhe India’s website.

1. Quick Login

To address the 25% drop-off rate at the login stage, GoKwik introduced two of its hero solutions.

  • Single Sign On (SSO) Login - A smart user authentication process, SSO Login quickly authenticates and allows existing shoppers to login to the website with the help of one-time password or OTP sent on their registered mobile number
  • Truecaller Authentication - Truecaller SDK enables new users to leverage Truecaller's one-tap login feature to quickly login without having to create an account

2. Quick Address Pre-fill

Recognizing a further 18% drop-off at the address stage, GoKwik utilised its extensive network to automatically fill addresses for nearly 4 out of 5 shoppers on the GoKwik network, reducing the need for manual input.

Through its vast network of 100+ million shoppers and varied partnerships, GoKwik automatically filled addresses for nearly 4 out of 5 shoppers who landed on Ruhe’s website owing to its network effect.

This meant that any shopper that landed on Ruhe India’s website or app found their addresses auto-filled. This eliminated the need for shoppers to add a new address and go through the tedious and often cumbersome process all over again.

Moreover, in case a shopper wishes to add a new address, GoKwik auto-fills 40% of the form via the shopper's pin code, reducing stress to a minimum. Shoppers now just need to enter their name, email ID, and the address. The reduced hesitation and frustration adds to quick business conversions.

3. Quick Payments Through KwikPay

To tackle a 17% drop off at the payments stage, GoKwik introduced Ruhe to KwikPay. A flagship suite, KwikPay ensures a smooth payment process, superior shopping experience, and a better conversion rate.

  • Exhaustive Payments Suite - Shoppers can pay via a payment method of their choice, including UPI, CC/DC, Wallets, Netbanking, Pay later, CRED, cash, etc.
  • Personalised Recommendations - Shoppers get personalised recommendations based on their previously chosen methods to quicken the process

4. Quick Interventions

In addition to streamlining the checkout process, GoKwik also assisted Ruhe India in implementing a series of necessary interventions on their checkout to reduce the risk of high RTOs. For instance, implementing additional fees on cash on delivery orders. By doing so, shoppers get compelled to place prepaid orders and steer from paying extra on COD orders.

On a granular level, GoKwik also helped Ruhe India identify a series of fake orders which further allowed the brands to streamline their orders and record quality conversions.

The Result

Owing to GoKwik solutions and interventions, Ruhe India saw the following results.

  • A 40.41% increase in checkout conversion rate
  • A 37.10% increase in prepaid order conversions
  • A 16.7% uplift in address pre-fills
  • An 11.2% increase in average order value
  • An overall 15% increase in business GMV
