The Problem Statement

In less than a decade, the brand has made a prominent mark in the industry owing to its exclusive range of products. While the brand was gaining much traction and witnessing an increase in overall website traffic, they faced the following issues.

In less than a decade, the brand has made a prominent mark in the industry owing to its exclusive range of products. While the brand was gaining much traction and witnessing an increase in overall website traffic, they faced the following issues.

  • Their conversion rate more or less remained the same
  • They saw a high drop-off at the login and address fill (shipping) page.
  • The share of their prepaid order percentage was at a moderate level and they wanted to improve it. Meaning, more people placed cash-on-delivery orders than prepaid orders which were resulting in high return-to-origins or RTO (orders being rejected at the doorstep or getting cancelled after shipment)

It saw that most people were abandoning Ek’s site when asked to login to place an order while filling in the address (shipping) details, and at the payment stage.

To reduce drop-offs at these levels, GoKwik decided to introduce the following interventions.
1. Single-sign-on (SSO) Login
The single-sign-on login feature eliminated the need for repeat users to enter their details at the login stage and directly landed them on the address or shipping page.
2. Login via Truecaller
The integration of Truecaller allowed new shoppers to login by authenticating themselves using the Truecaller pop-up. The SDK API quickly verified a user’s profile, auto-populated their necessary details, and enabled them to log into Ek’s platform with a single tap.

Incorporation Of GoKwik’s UPI Payment Stack

For a consistent and effective payment experience and to encourage more prepaid order placements, Gokwik embedded its unique UPI Payment Stack.

A peculiar payment solution that enabled Ek to offer its shoppers a wide range of UPI payment modes to choose from.

GoKwik’s UPI Payment Stack also gave Ek an option to offer discounts to shoppers who chose UPI as a payment option. This helped them bag more prepaid orders but reduce the number of RTOs resulting from COD orders.

The Result

Soon after implementing various GoKwik-led solutions on the brand’s website (both desktop and mobile), Ek saw the following results.

  • The two fast-paced login functionalities with auto-detail fetching feature brought about a whopping 7% of conversion upliftment
  • Time taken to login from mobile to address decreased by almost 21 seconds via Truecaller intervention
  • Ek’s prepaid orders increased from 43.75% to 51.78% in just a matter of two months after GoKwik’s intervention.
  • An overall increase of 28% in its checkout conversion rate
